Job summary

Equinix seeks a Distinguished Engineer to serve as the definitive technical authority for network architecture across the Network Edge product line. You will own the network designs underpinning Equinix's VNF platform, drive high-impact initiatives, and act as the primary technical bridge between product engineering and Network Architecture/Operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of network engineering experience with large-scale, high-performance architectures.
• Proven track record delivering architectures for telecom, cloud, or digital infrastructure products.
• Experience influencing technical direction across engineering, product, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year network architecture vision for Network Edge and ensure scalable, resilient designs.
• Lead architecture for high-throughput VNF enablement and dual-Data Center connectivity.
• Set design patterns, reference architectures, and standards for VNFs and overlay networking.
• Serve as primary technical liaison between product engineering and Network Architecture/Operations.
• Mentor Senior/Principal engineers and contribute to internal design documents.
