Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a hands-on Senior Network Development Engineer to own AWS IP networks for public sector regions. You will design, implement, and operate highly available, hyper-scale networks and collaborate with engineers across AWS.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in internet routing, strong Linux experience, and a proven track record in automation scripting. Willingness to travel and ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher, or relevant certifications.
• 8+ years in major internet routing protocols.
• 5+ years Linux/Unix experience.
• 3+ years automation scripting (Python, Bash, Shell, Perl).
• Experience with IP networking technologies (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of highly available, hyper-scale networks, services, and deployment procedures.
• Write and defend High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documents, build and test solutions.
• Define and influence strategy and technology roadmaps within and outside the team.
• Lead project teams that deliver network initiatives and drive outcomes.
• Partner with network engineers and software developers to automate deployment and operations.
