Job summary

Wellmark, a mutual insurance company serving Iowa and South Dakota, seeks a Senior Network Innovation Analyst to join a cross-functional product team. You will analyze complex data, translate findings into actionable recommendations, and influence network payment strategies to improve cost, quality, and value for members.

You will partner with stakeholders, mentor teammates, and translate insights into data stories for health care organizations and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience.
• 5+ years of experience pulling reports, analyzing and interpreting complex data.
• Health insurance/health care industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI; ability to create ad hoc reports.
• Proficiency in SAS and SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong consultation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Valid Driver’s License with travel less than 5%.

Responsibilities

• Develop new cost and quality initiatives and reporting using internal data sources and vendor relationships.
• Provide actionable data and recommendations to providers regarding medical cost and quality.
• Develop opportunity projections to support strategic decisions on medical cost and quality.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other Network Innovation Analysts.
• Serve as a liaison for Network Innovation on project initiatives.
• Extract, analyze, and interpret data to support stakeholder decisions.
• Ensure data integrity through quality checks for vendor reporting.
