Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (JP) is seeking a Network Communications Administrator to support classified government contracts from the Redondo Beach, CA site. On-site, full-time position with no telework options.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining LAN/WAN networks, enforcing security standards, leading deployment of routers, switches, and security appliances, and coordinating with cross-functional teams for incidents and improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; OR Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR High School diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance (or higher) to be considered and the ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Must have a Security+ certification or greater to be considered.
• Experience designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Perform Network Communications activities in support of classified government contracts.
• Maintains operations of LAN/WAN/VPNs and encryption technologies.
• Plans, designs, configures, and implement small to medium scale LAN/WAN solutions that meet mission requirements.
• Lead the configuration, testing, and roll-out of routing/switching platforms and security appliances.
• Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.
• Provide second-level support resolution of technical problems and answers queries by telephone, in support of internal customers.
