Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Network Communications Administrator to support information system lifecycle activities on-site in Redondo Beach, CA. The role focuses on maintaining LAN/WAN/VPN operations, encryption tech, and security compliance for classified government contracts.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing LAN/WAN solutions, leading routing/switching deployments, coordinating third-party maintenance, and providing senior technical guidance to the team.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of relevant experience is required
• Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret level security clearances as a condition of continued employment
• Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
• Must have a Security+ certification or greater to be considered
• Experience designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with routers, switches, and firewalls

Responsibilities

• Perform Network Communications activities in support of classified government contracts.
• Maintains operations of LAN/WAN/VPNs and encryption technologies.
• Plans, designs, configures, and implement small to medium scale LAN/WAN solutions that meet mission-requirements.
• Lead the configuration, testing, and roll-out of routing/switching platforms and security appliances.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide network standards, policies, and documentation; ensuring security compliance.
• Resolve incidents and coordinate cross-functional teams as needed.
