Sagicor Life Insurance Company USA is seeking a Sr. Network & Cloud Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize the organization’s network and cloud infrastructure to support reliable, scalable operations.

In this role, you will monitor environments, apply robust security controls, lead modernization projects, and collaborate across teams to align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8-10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of enterprise network and cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and virtualization platforms.
• Strong security knowledge including Zero Trust and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable enterprise network and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor network and cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, reliability, and capacity requirements are met.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls, including firewalls, segmentation, secure remote access, and cloud security best practices.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity initiatives, including participation in recovery testing activities.
• Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects involving cloud adoption, network modernization, platform upgrades, and connectivity improvements.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and project teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.
• Assess technical requirements, identify infrastructure risks and dependencies, and provide strategic recommendations aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical standards, implementation documentation, and operational procedures.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies that improve performance, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Provide advanced support for network and cloud platforms, including incident resolution, change management, and vendor coordination.

The Sr. Network & Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing the organization's network and cloud infrastructure to support reliable, scalable, and resilient business operations. This role ensures enterprise connectivity, cloud platforms, and infrastructure services align with business requirements, cybersecurity standards, and long-term technology objectives. The position plays a key role in driving infrastructure modernization, operational excellence, and innovation across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8-10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of enterprise network and cloud architecture, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, routing, switching, wireless networking, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience with cloud and virtualization platforms such as Azure, AWS, VMware, and Hyper‑V.
• Strong knowledge of network and cloud security concepts, including firewalls, segmentation, secure remote access, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience supporting datacenter infrastructure, backup technologies, resiliency solutions, and disaster recovery environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to assess technical risk and make strategic infrastructure recommendations that support business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
• Experience within the financial services or insurance industry.
• Experience driving infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
