Senior IT Network & AV Engineer – [Washington D.C. | Maryland | Virginia]

Location: On-site, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Salary: $60,000–$110,000 (DOE)

Reports to: Chad Bowers, Director of Field IT

Why This Role Matters

As our Senior IT Network & AV Engineer, you’ll be the expert our team turns to when the stakes are high and the problems are complex. You’ll support and mentor Tier 1 and 2 Help Desk technicians, lead advanced technical projects, and occasionally step in for high-level AV system integrations. Your deep MSP experience and mastery of Microsoft 365 and Azure will be critical to our customers’ success and our team’s growth.

What You’ll Do
  1. Serve as the escalation point for advanced technical issues from Tier 1 and 2 IT Help Desk technicians
  2. Diagnose and resolve complex problems involving Microsoft 365, Azure, network infrastructure, IT support, cloud solutions, and technical leadership
  3. Lead and execute projects such as multi-tenant Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure automation deployments, and root-cause analysis of persistent network issues
  4. Mentor and support junior technicians, helping them develop their skills
  5. Plan and execute technical projects, including system upgrades, Azure deployments, and cloud infrastructure management
  6. Maintain clear, detailed documentation and contribute to our knowledge base
  7. Communicate directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
  8. Occasionally assist with advanced audio-visual (AV) system setups and troubleshooting
  9. Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, automate processes, and implement best practices
  10. Cross-train in different technical areas to increase flexibility and value within the team
What You Bring
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD)
  • Strong proficiency with Azure infrastructure (virtual networks, storage, compute resources, automation)
  • Solid background in network administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
  • Experience implementing and managing security solutions (firewalls, endpoint protection, incident response)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Strong communication and mentoring abilities
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator)
  • Bonus: AV system experience, PowerShell scripting, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), and RMM/PSA tools
