Job summary

Chestnut Labs in Lenexa, KS seeks a senior network engineer to collaborate with the Network Manager and Lead Network Engineer on system rollouts, upgrades, and infrastructure changes. You will analyze, design, install, configure, and repair key systems to meet user needs and maintain security across multiple platforms.

The role requires a B.S. in IT (or equivalent experience), 5–8 years in network engineering, CCNP, and the ability to learn new software/hardware quickly.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Information Technology or professional experience equivalent.
• 5-8 years Network Engineering experience.
• CCNP required.
• Proven experience with ability to learn how to use/implement new software and hardware quickly.

Responsibilities

• Consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
• Work with appropriate business partners when rolling out new systems or system changes to address issues and fix bugs.
• Manage complex network projects from beginning to end including refresh, infrastructure, and process projects.
• Ability to work across Unified Communications, Route, Switch, Wireless, SD WAN, and Network Security platforms.
• Strong Firewall and Routing skills. Understand BGP and EVPN technologies.
• Translate business requirements into network designs and solutions.
• Collaborating with a group of network engineers delivering new solutions to support manufacturing networking.
