Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field; experience may substitute for education.
• Five (5) years’ network experience; experience in engineering, customer support, or LAN administration.
• Three (3) years’ experience managing technical support staff.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate a County-owned vehicle.
• Clean driving record as specified in county policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff supporting the internal Shawnee County network and related systems.
• Ensure high level of customer service and on-time delivery of commitments.
• Lead network analysis, design, and deployment of software and hardware upgrades.
• Coordinate with external departments to determine technology needs and select appropriate solutions.
• Oversee quality control, training, and development of IT specialists.
• Plan and administer day-to-day network operations and maintenance of file servers and infrastructure.
• Maintain documentation and annual budget for network functions; pursue continuing education.
