Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Architect to design and architect complex networks supporting national defense missions. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and modernize critical networks, applying your expertise in routing, switching, encryption, and security.

The role requires understanding of OSI, IP engineering, and secure device configurations, with a focus on reliability and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a network or data center systems engineer.
• 3+ years of experience in network architecture.
• Experience in network design, protocols, and infrastructure (IPv4/IPv6, QoS, MPLS, BGP).
• Knowledge of network topology diagrams and editing with diagramming software (MS Visio).
• Familiarity with STIG security compliance and secure device access control.
• Knowledge of network security principles including Crypto, COMSEC, ViPER, or VOIP.
• Ability to design architecture for worldwide encrypted comms and MBSE data flows.
• Top Secret clearance and applicable certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and architect networks to meet client needs and mission requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and improve security, reliability, and availability.
• Analyze current infrastructures and recommend modernization efforts.
• Apply knowledge of routing, switching, encryption gear, and transport layers.
• Collaborate with team to deploy new capabilities and technologies.
