Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer-Secret to lead end-to-end, secure networking solutions for public sector clients at Fort Meade, MD. The role requires delivering architecture, design, and implementation across routing, switching, data center, and security domains.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers, drive cloud-integrated architectures, and partner with customers and Cisco stakeholders to accelerate mission objectives while maintaining top-tier service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field with 8+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and onsite work at Fort Meade, MD five days a week preferred.
• Expertise in Cisco technologies and complex enterprise networking architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer delivery engagements and provide senior escalation support for large-scale networks.
• Consult with customers and partners to design, implement, and optimize Cisco technologies.
• Serve as trusted advisor across routing, switching, data center, security, and cloud-enabled networks.
• Lead analysis and resolution of highly complex network challenges with engineering teams.
• Build relationships with customers and senior leadership; communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Create technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and best practices; mentor engineers.
• Independently lead cross-functional programs delivering measurable improvements.
