Job summary

Vertiv in Westerville, OH, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, support, and troubleshoot complex enterprise networks across offices, campuses, and data centers. You will own deployments from design through cabling, implementation, testing, and documentation, with hands-on responsibility for routing, switching, SD-WAN, and wireless architectures.

The role requires extensive BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, TCP/IP, VLANs, high availability, and experience with Cisco routers and switches;

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise networking experience in senior or architect roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across offices, campuses, and data centers.
• Lead network deployments for new offices, buildings, and campus locations from the ground up.
• Develop network architecture, topology, IP addressing, routing, switching, wireless, security, and connectivity designs.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and SD-WAN solutions.
• Design and manage complex routing environments using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, with emphasis on BGP.
• Develop and implement resilient network architectures with redundancy, high availability, and failover.
• Work with data center and colocation providers (Equinix) to establish connectivity and manage Equinix Fabric connections.
• Evaluate and validate physical network infrastructure, including cabling, fiber, copper, patch panels, racks, and demarcation points.
• Provide technical leadership during moves, openings, upgrades, and refresh projects.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across L1-L3 and beyond; use Wireshark for analysis.
