Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Network Architect to support SITEC at Camp H.M. Smith, HI. You will design and optimize network solutions to ensure availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems, including VLAN, WAN, and voice/data networks.

The role requires a robust technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with DoD networks, network operating systems

Qualifications

• BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR PHD with 3 years of experience OR HS with 12 years of experience OR AA with 10 years of experience
• DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
• Experience with network operating systems (Cisco, Novell and Windows Server) and LAN/WAN protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Performs Tier-4 network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD requiring extensive networking knowledge.
• Review existing architectures regularly and assist with design and implementation of improvements.
• Troubleshoot enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and evaluate impact of architectural changes.
• Follow designated network standards for design, installation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructures and related systems.
• Plan, design, engineer, configure, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair VLANs.
