Job summary

Arctiq is seeking a Principal Network Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC. This role serves as the senior technical authority for enterprise networking, security, and perimeter infrastructure, guiding architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of highly available solutions for data centers, branches, cloud, and digital banking platforms.

You will lead evaluations of Palo Alto and Fortinet platforms, design Zero Trust networks, and champion security compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• 5+ years designing large Cisco/Fortinet/Palo Alto environments.
• Expertise in routing, switching, BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, VLANs, QoS.
• Deep Palo Alto and Fortinet platform knowledge.
• Experience with cloud networking and regulated financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architectures.
• Develop roadmaps aligned with growth, transformation, and cybersecurity.
• Lead evaluations, proofs-of-concept, and modernization efforts.
• Mentor engineers and establish governance across teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and security requirements.
• Support disaster recovery and incident escalation with rapid root-cause analysis.
