Job summary

VT-ARC seeks a Senior to Principal Enterprise Network Engineer focused on data center networking and firewall engineering to act as a senior technical authority for enterprise network architecture, implementation, sustainment, and modernization supporting mission-critical TS/SCI programs.

The role spans the full network lifecycle: requirements interpretation, architecture input, detailed design, implementation, validation, and operational transition. onsite in Arlington, VA with expected travel.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
Experience with Cisco Nexus data center switching and enterprise firewall platforms.
Experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM or equivalent load balancers.
Experience integrating VMware networking with high availability.
SD-WAN technologies experience.
Cloud/hybrid networking in government cloud environments.
Network automation and infrastructure-as-code tools are a plus.
DoDAF or enterprise architecture framework experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise network engineering for data centers and firewalls through design, validation and transition.
Design, implement, and modernize data center routing and switching infrastructure.
Design, configure and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls with policies, NAT, VPNs and segmentation.
Develop resilient network designs with redundancy and failover considerations.
Provide SME-level technical leadership across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
Translate architecture objectives into executable network designs and deployment roadmaps.
Lead PoC demos, lab validation, pilots, and integration events.
