Job summary

Charleston International in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a Network Architect to design, configure and manage IP networks and related hardware for the CRAA. This role focuses on uptime, security and performance across aviation systems, including CCTV, VPNs, and wireless networks.

You will lead projects, perform security measures, monitor devices, review diagrams, and coordinate with vendors and authorities to keep networks operational and compliant with DHS and aviation security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Five (5) years' experience in a related field of work.
• Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience.
• Valid South Carolina driver's license.
• JNCIA Juniper certification, or higher certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews business and security systems for operational functionality and security.
• Assists with penetration testing and patching across networks; supports large installations.
• Operates and maintains data throughput and reviews VPN, Wi-Fi, and server hardware.
• Coordinates with Aviation Authority officials, vendors and contractors to keep networks operational.
• Prepares network diagrams, IT documents and reports; maintains records.
• Develops architecture to support network transport requirements and troubleshoots issues.
• Manages inventory and subnetting practices; informs management of potential disruptions.
