Harbor Compute, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an expert network engineer to design, deploy, and lead our network fabrics for accelerated compute clusters, spanning from concept through operations.

You will collaborate with software, electrical, and design teams to build flexible, high-performance infrastructure, mentoring peers and shaping standards. The role emphasizes reliability and scalability across large deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in networking and network operations.
• 5+ years designing and deploying networks.
• Mastery of networking equipment and protocols.
• Experience with both front-end and back-end networks.
• Hands-on experience with fiber-optic equipment and logistics.
• Some hands-on systems programming experience.
• Hands-on network support experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and review the design of accelerated compute cluster network fabrics.
• Support the deployment of a network from design, to procurement, to cabling, to qualification.
• Contribute to observability, monitoring, provisioning, automation, modeling and simulation software for networks.
• Support the operations of said networks.
• Work with a team of world-class experts.
