Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Senior Network Designer to lead strategic design for secure network infrastructure in Berkeley, MO. The role requires expertise across multi-technology architectures and DoD RMF adherence, coordinating across cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide initiatives.

You will manage lifecycle activities from design to decommissioning, shaping secure, reliable networks while partnering with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain access to SAP and classified networks (SAP access).
• 5+ years designing large-scale network architectures.
• 5+ years configuring Cisco routers and switches and Cisco IOS.
• 5+ years of TCP/IP networking in LAN/WAN environments.
• 5+ years with COMSEC encryption devices.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic requirements for network designs, providing technical input on products, services, and enterprise-wide integration.
• Utilize long-range planning and technical research to recommend advanced technological applications.
• Act as a senior authority for program requirements, coordinating the activities of technical teams to achieve execution excellence.
• Manage scope, resource allocation, and project prioritization across multiple concurrent activities.
• Oversee the full network lifecycle, including design, procurement, configuration, installation, cable/wire infrastructure, break-fix support, and decommissioning.
• Integrate security plans into network design, ensuring strict adherence to United States (U.S.) Government Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Manage System Security Plans (SSPs), device sanitization, and contamination cleanup.
• Provide hardware and software support for Secure Network and Secure Voice systems.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for complex technical challenges, utilizing critical thinking to triage and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Champion Boeing's Seek, Speak, and Listen behaviors to foster a collaborative environment.
• Develop project plans, implement policies, and manage capital/expense planning to ensure mission success.
