Job summary

SSP LLC in New Orleans, LA is seeking a senior network engineer to design, deploy and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructure. You will diagnose and resolve advanced network issues, manage hardware/software procurement, and perform moves, adds and changes across global data centers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 8–10 years of network engineering experience, with knowledge of Cisco UCS, server virtualization, and IPv6 design.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex network problems/failures.
• Participate in procurement for hardware and software.
• Perform moves, adds and changes of LAN/WAN resources.
• Install/monitor new hardware/software; interact with vendors and users.
• Ensure integrity and optimum performance of LAN/WAN equipment and data center infra.
• Implement security best practices including patching infrastructure.
• Design and implement IPv6 network infrastructure.
