Job summary

BlueBridge Networks, LLC in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Systems Engineer to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house information systems supporting core organizational functions and external customers.

You will manage firewalls, network infrastructure, Windows servers (AD, DNS, DHCP, SQL, RDS, IIS), monitor security, back-ups, and documentation, while serving as escalation point and participating in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage, administer and maintain firewalls, switches, and routing equipment for BlueBridge Networks and its customers.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WWAN, and Internet connections.
• Install, maintain and support Windows based server infrastructure and roles including AD, DNS, DHCP, SQL, RDS, IIS.
• Configure, maintain, and support customer infrastructure as needed.
• Monitor network security to protect against external, internal, and/or programmatic attacks.
• Assist in defining overall network security strategies and procedures.
• Manage and maintain successful backup and continuity solutions in primary and secondary locations, as well as customer sites.
• Utilize network monitoring software to ensure timely alerts and response to network issues.
• Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
• Serve as an escalation point for network systems operational issues.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Investigate developing network technologies and provide recommendations regarding the future application of such technologies and related productivity gains.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours issues in a timely manner based upon severity and/or business impact.
