home24 SE is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will ensure a high-performing, secure network foundation while managing the organization's networking stack.

Responsibilities include designing scalable network architecture, managing global WAN connectivity, and developing disaster recovery plans. Candidates should have proven experience in enterprise network administration and strong AWS networking skills.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Network Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. Your mission is to provide a rock-solid, high-performing, and secure network foundation that enables the entire organization to operate reliably and efficiently. In this role, you will act as the technical owner of our networking stack, ensuring stability for both our core infrastructure and our cloud-integrated services.

Your Responsibilities

• Network Architecture & Strategy: Design, implement, and evolve a scalable network architecture that supports current and future business needs.
• WAN / VPN Management: Manage, optimize, and secure global WAN connectivity and site-to-site/client VPN tunnels to ensure reliable communication across branches and remote users.
• Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and rapid service restoration.
• Network Security & Compliance: Proactively manage firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and endpoint security to protect against threats.
• Certificate & Identity Management: Manage the organization’s SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle and network-related PKI infrastructure.
• Network Troubleshooting: Serve as the final point of escalation for complex network performance issues, utilizing deep-dive packet analysis and monitoring tools.
• Hardware Lifecycle: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and strategic replacement of networking hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers).
• Backup & Verification: Establish robust backup schedules for network configurations and execute regular, documented "Restore Tests" to ensure integrity.
• AWS Cloud Networking: Manage AWS VPCs, transit gateways, and fine-tune AWS IAM permissions for network resources to maintain the principle of least privilege.

• Networking Expertise: Mastery of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and traffic management (QoS).
• Cloud Fluency: Strong, hands-on experience with AWS networking and permission management.
• Security Mindset: In-depth knowledge of SSL/TLS standards, firewalling, and network hardening.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot intermittent connectivity issues using tools like Wireshark, NetFlow, or SNMP-based monitoring.
• Communication: A structured, independent work style, with the ability to document complex systems for team knowledge-sharing.
