Job summary

Halian is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support a large-scale government network in Austin, Texas. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing critical infrastructure across multiple locations while providing Tier III support for complex issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise networking experience, a security-minded approach, and familiarity with regulated environments such as government, education, or healthcare.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering enterprise networks across locations.
• 3+ years implementing site-to-site IPsec VPNs.
• 3+ years managing enterprise network monitoring tools.
• 3+ years SAN networking: SAN switches, routers/bridges, iSCSI, FCoE/AoE/FCP.
• 2+ years supporting cloud networking environments.
• Experience with virtualized network environments.
• Current CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Support data, voice, cloud, virtualized, SAN, and remote networking environments.
• Configure and maintain site-to-site VPN/IPSEC connectivity.
• Manage and monitor network performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Serve as Tier III escalation support for network incidents and service requests.
• Evaluate and implement network improvements and enhancements.
• Support Aruba network infrastructure and security initiatives.
• Work closely with vendors and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
