CSCI Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to support and optimize network infrastructure for secure, scalable operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in traditional and cloud-integrated systems, with a focus on automation and federal compliance, ensuring a highly available network environment.
CSCI Consulting is looking for a Senior Network Administrator to support and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across development (SDE) and production (PROD/PSS) environments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available network operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical acumen in both traditional and cloud-integrated systems, proficiency in automation, and experience working in secure federal or defense-related environments.
Administer and maintain enterprise network and server infrastructure, including virtualized and cloud-integrated systems.
Monitor network performance and health; diagnose and resolve issues related to connectivity, latency, and configuration.
Apply patches, firmware updates, and configuration changes to routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Support system optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning across environments.
Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures in line with continuity of operations (COOP) requirements.
Automate routine administrative tasks and monitoring using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Document network configurations, events, changes, and incident responses per established operational standards.
Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and engineers to maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including IAVA, STIGs, and audit readiness.
Support interface management and integration with external systems, ensuring security and data integrity.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
7–10 years of experience in network administration or enterprise infrastructure support.
IAM/IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
Hands-on experience managing routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers in enterprise environments.
Proficiency in installing, patching, upgrading, and configuring system software and hardware.
Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, backup/restore protocols, and network security practices.
Strong scripting and automation experience (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
Active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Experience supporting secure federal or DoD IT environments.
Familiarity with Oracle Exadata, ZFS, and InfiniBand networking components.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or hybrid cloud solutions.
Deep understanding of DoD compliance frameworks including STIGs and IAVA.
Exposure to interface management and integration with external systems.
Experience working in mission-critical, 24/7/365 operational environments.
