Job summary

Sev1Tech LLC is seeking a Senior Network Administrator in Fort Bragg, NC, to support the ALTESS Windows team in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain complex networks, lead troubleshooting efforts, and ensure operational security.

Qualified applicants must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance, CompTIA Security+, and significant experience with networking technologies, specifically Cisco and Palo Alto systems. The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $140,000.

Job description

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Entarian is looking for a Senior Network Administrator supporting the ALTESS Windows team in a mixed and growing environment currently supporting functional teams and customers that utilize MS Windows server 2019/2022, MS SQL 2019, MS Windows 11, VMWare 7.x, OEL 8x-9x, and Oracle Operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with the existing team members who are responsible for designing and supporting multiple complex networks in different locations
• Help lead in the strategies to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support networks for multiple customer environments
• Lead efforts to plan, execute and implement new network implementations
• Responsible for creating and maintaining team technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies as needed
• Ability to be adept at monitoring and tuning system and network performance, ongoing operation of the network, hardening of the network and reporting of the overall security and operational status
• Recommend improvements to the enterprise and manage new SW/HW integrations when required while also providing utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions as needed
• Provide support toward the lifecycle of a mixed environment of vendor equipment in the datacenter to include firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance
• Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiency to the current environment
• Excellent communication and team skills

Salary range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00

Minimum Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+
• Computing Environment (CE) Certification (e.g., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.); RedHat, Palo, etc. can be waived for 30 days after project join date
• Experience in Computer Science or IT
• Minimum three years’ experience designing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining complex networking solutions
• Minimum three years’ experience configuring, updating, maintaining, administering, and migrating Palo Alto Firewalls
• Minimum three years’ experience with Network Management, Analysis, and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Palo Alto Panorama, Men and Mice, etc
• Minimum five years’ experience configuring, updating, maintaining, and administering Cisco technologies: Cisco Nexus (9K, 7K, 5K, 2K), Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco Aggregation Services Router (ASR) and Integrated Services Router (ISR) routers, and Cisco Firepower
• Minimum three years’ experience or working knowledge of SW Defined Networking
• Minimum three years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience
• Three or more years’ experience in automation and scripting with Python, Pearl, TCL, or Ansible
• Three or more years’ experience supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA)
• Enterprise Resource Planning Support Lead (Program Manager – Intermediate)
