Job description

Carta connects founders, investors, and limited partners through world-class software, purpose-built for everyone in venture capital, private equity and private credit.

Carta’s fund administration platform supports nearly 7,000 funds and SPVs, representing $150B in assets under administration in venture capital and private equity. Trusted by more than 40,000 companies, Carta also helps private businesses in over 160 countries manage their cap tables, valuations, taxes, equity programs, compensation, and more.

Together, Carta is creating the end-to-end ERP platform for private markets. Traditional ERP solutions don’t work for Private Funds. Private capital markets need a comprehensive software solution to replace outdated spreadsheets and fragmented service providers. Carta’s software for the Office of the Fund CFO does just that - it’s a new category of software to make private markets look more like public markets - a connected ERP for private capital.

The Sr. Netsuite Administrator role will proactively improve and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Carta’s enterprise finance systems with a primary focus on NetSuite and related peripheral systems. This role will demonstrate strong influence and communications skills to collaborate internally with Finance, AP, AR and IT teams. The position will act as an advisor to the organization on system efficiency and effectiveness. The position will be the primary internal system admin and support contact for NetSuite, Stripe, Zip, and other finance systems and will also support the Zuora Billing/Revenue lead as needed .

Other responsibilities include:

  • Estimate, design, implement, and maintain configurations and customizations of NetSuite to meet the evolving needs of the finance team
  • Partner with internal users and stakeholders, assisting with data analysis, business process mapping, reporting needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain proper system access for user roles ensuring compliance with segregation of duties
  • Provide internal, ongoing system/technical support to Finance users, including training with a focus on superior customer service
  • Monitor end user usage of business systems and track performance
  • Provide front line support with regards to all aspects of business facing applications and troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and resolve issues
  • Develop, document and implement policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure data integrity, system integrity and security
  • Responsible for the change management and release process of NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe, and other finance applications
  • Provide quality and timely communication regarding system status.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system functionality, customization and integration
  • Support onboarding of additional business units and acquired subsidiaries onto Zuora Billing and related quote-to-cash systems
