Job summary
The State of Vermont seeks an IT Systems Developer III to design, develop, and maintain .NET software for the Vermont Department of Health as part of a small team. You will lead coding, testing, and deployment of Windows, Web, and API applications and collaborate on SQL Server databases and Azure deployments.
Ideal candidates bring a strong background in the .NET stack, XML/HTML/JQuery/Razor skills, and a track record in Agile environments, with an emphasis on security and production-ready
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
- OR Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
- OR Six (6) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
Responsibilities
- Designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting .NET software applications for VDH.
- Collaborating with Database Administrators to design and develop databases in SQL Server to support VDH operations.
- Configuring and deploying applications, APIs and jobs in Azure environment.
- Complying with change management procedures for VDH software application deployments and modifications.
- Studying existing VDH systems to evaluate effectiveness and developing new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
- Maintaining cybersecurity of VDH systems and data.
