Job summary

Waltech in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support design, implementation and testing of software solutions. You will assist with architecture, skeleton class design, algorithm and rule engine development, coding methods, peer reviews, and test creation.

This role requires 4–6 years in software engineering and a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, with hands-on coding and strong OO skills. Relocation to be considered as the office opens in January.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
• 4–6 years in Software Engineering.
• Knowledge of SDLC and best practices including code reviews, version control, build processes, testing and operations.
• Experience in the airline industry is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in coding and strong OO programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior team members with design and architecture of software.
• Develop skeleton classes, implement algorithms, and set up rule engines.
• Code methods based on design docs.
• Perform peer code reviews and create test scenarios.
• Maintain high quality coding and validation standards throughout development.
