Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and enhance software for a premier federal client in the Washington, DC area. You’ll work on complex solutions, applying your expertise to deliver secure, scalable applications while growing your career in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The role requires a BS in CS or a related field and 3+ years of development experience with DoD security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• 3+ years of related software development experience including design, coding, testing, and documentation
• CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 Compliance)
• Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
• Preferred: Development experience with .Net, C#, SQL, JS, and HTML

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex new software products, and making significant enhancements to existing software.
• Integrating design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into product capabilities.
• Resolving complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
• Researching emerging technologies to determine impact on application execution.
• Providing input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
• Troubleshooting complex problems and providing customer support for process specific hardware and application issues.
• Preparing reports on analyses, findings, and project progress
