Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Senior .NET Sitecore Developer for remote-capable work within its IT ecosystem. You will contribute to fintech projects using the Microsoft stack and Sitecore, guiding junior teammates while delivering robust solutions.
The role emphasizes enterprise-grade apps, Sitecore-driven experiences, and compliance with financial services standards. Remote work is available for CA residents.
Career Fit: Mid-to-Senior .NET/Sitecore Developer at a Established Financial Institution
Golden 1 Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in the US, offering the stability of an established financial institution without the red tape typical of large commercial banks. This role sits in a structured IT department, signaling a more enterprise-than-startup culture with defined processes (Agile + Waterfall SDLC both required).
Compensation Benchmarking: The $102K–$115K annual range is slightly below the national median for a senior .NET developer with 7+ years of experience (which typically reaches $120K–$145K in fintech or tech companies). However, it's reasonable for a non-profit credit union in Sacramento, especially with the stability and benefits typical of credit union employment.
Skills You'll Develop:
Green Flags: Clear pay transparency, Sitecore certification support implied, remote work offered, and a stable employer. Potential concerns: The requirement for both Agile and Waterfall suggests legacy systems; extended hours are explicitly mentioned multiple times, hinting at deadline pressure. The role may not offer cutting-edge tech exposure compared to pure SaaS companies.
