Job summary

Applied Information Sciences is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Federal team in Washington, DC. You will design, develop, and deliver full-stack applications using C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, SQL Server, React, and TypeScript, ensuring secure, scalable solutions for mission-critical systems.

You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, mentor peers, and participate in SDLC activities from planning to deployment, while adhering to best practices and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS, SE, IT, or related field.
• 3–5 years professional software development with C# and .NET.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack features using C#, ASP.NET, EF, SQL Server, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Build responsive front-end interfaces with React and modern UI development practices.
• Develop scalable and secure back-end components and APIs to support application functionality.
• Modify and enhance existing code to improve performance, usability, and maintainability.
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and services as needed.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, requirements analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code aligned with best practices and team guidelines.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and performance issues.
• Use Git/GitLab for version control, branching, and team collaboration.
• Assist with remediation of code and package vulnerabilities identified through security scans.
