Job summary

Knowledge Builders Inc in Albany, NY is seeking an IT Specialist – QA with extensive .NET experience to monitor and improve DPS applications and ensure quality across existing and new initiatives such as Utility Assessment System, PAS, DMM, and 753 Enforcement support.

The role requires leading test planning, unit and integration testing, UAT support, and strong knowledge of ALM, TFS, and Oracle SQL. Bachelor's degree in CS or related field is required.

Qualifications

• 84 months experience with multi-tier .NET Framework/.NET Core web apps using C# (Web Forms & MVC).
• 84 months experience creating test plans and test processes from requirements.
• 72 months experience with testing tools: ALM, SoapUI, Agile, Silk Test, HPE UFT, LoadRunner, JMeter, Performance Center, TFS.
• 84 months experience in unit, system, QA, UAT and performance testing for .NET apps.
• 60 months experience with Oracle databases 11.2.0.1+ including SQL queries.
• 84 months documenting user and technical documentation: manuals, API guides, SDLC docs.
• 24 months experience in document matter management: filing, agenda, compliance, ESCO management.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, CIS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure software products are developed and released with high quality.
• Develop test plans, scenarios and test cases to exercise requirements.
• Investigate user issues and defects with stakeholders.
• Perform defect management and root-cause analysis.
• Identify and fix performance issues in web applications.
• Create and maintain user and technical documentation and processes.
• Utilize TFS to track product backlog and bugs.
• Support UAT testing and provide user training for testing tools.
