Job summary

SimCorp is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead the QA/Dev efforts within Investment Operations. You will guide design, testing, and automation initiatives for enterprise-scale financial software, collaborating across squads and with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering with combined Dev/QA responsibilities.
• Expertise in .NET / C#.
• Strong test automation (E2E, API, Integration) and test strategy.
• Experience with architecting and developing enterprise-scale applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud and On-Prem infrastructures (Microsoft Azure).
• Deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines and tools (Git, TeamCity, Azure DevOps).
• Fluent written and spoken English; ability to mentor and lead teams toward technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in design, development, and testing.
• Define and own test architecture and quality strategy at team level.
• Balance active coding with guiding automation initiatives.
• Drive adoption of automation-first practices across the team.
• Ensure high-quality delivery by monitoring coverage, test metrics, and quality KPIs.
• Mentor engineers in development, automation, and testing skills.
• Represent the combined QA/Dev approach in cross-team forums.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical and quality goals.
• Conduct root cause analysis for complex defects and implement preventive actions.
• Advocate improvements in tools, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering processes.
