Job summary

RLI Insurance Company in Peoria, IL seeks a Senior Software Engineer ( .NET Full Stack ) to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications using the Microsoft technology stack. You will build scalable services, APIs, and web UIs in a collaborative, agile environment.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of experience, deep knowledge of C#/.NET, Blazor, RESTful APIs, and microservices, and a track record delivering cloud-ready applications with CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IT/engineering.
• 8–10 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET in enterprise apps.
• Experience building modern web apps (Blazor, Razor, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Experience with MongoDB and SQL Server; Kafka a plus.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to speed coding and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and the .NET platform.
• Build responsive, modern web applications using Blazor, Razor, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design and implement microservices for distributed, event-driven applications.
• Develop data access using MongoDB and SQL Server; implement asynchronous messaging with Kafka.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews; collaborate in Agile teams.
