The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is a public benefit corporation and the nation’s largest municipal Housing Finance Agency. HDC’s programs support the construction and preservation of multi-family affordable housing in New York City.

The Applications Development team partners with business stakeholders across HDC to develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications that enable the Corporation's business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing with C# and .NET.
• Experience writing SQL queries and relational databases.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with Git or other source control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain secure and reliable business applications.
• Enhance and support existing .NET applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while providing ongoing support.
• Participate in modernization of legacy applications using current .NET technologies.
• Develop REST APIs and reusable components.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development standards.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for work tracking, sprint planning, and delivery.
• Work with source control and deployment processes.
• Support enterprise platforms like Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Formstack, and more.
• Assist with technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with Microsoft technologies and suggest improvements.
