Job summary

TetraScience is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to design and develop high-performance, scalable applications using C#, the .NET Framework, and TypeScript. You will implement automated testing and leverage GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines, while diagnosing production issues and optimizing performance in AWS-based services.

The role requires strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, with a focus on observability using OpenTelemetry and robust operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proficient in backend service development with C#/.NET.
• Proficient in TypeScript and React for front-end UI.
• Experience in on-premises and cloud-native multi-tenant environments, with debugging, deployment, and scaling differences.
• Hands-on experience with AWS DynamoDB, RDS, SQS in production.
• Experience with microservices patterns (service discovery, API gateway, messaging/queueing).
• Experience with automated testing at multiple levels.
• Strong Git skills and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for distributed systems in production.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and maintain distributed applications with high performance and security.
• Develop backend services (C#/.NET and TypeScript) and cloud APIs; build frontend apps with TypeScript/React.
• Design and implement loosely coupled microservices on AWS (DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across services and UI layers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for backend and frontend.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in distributed systems and optimize performance.
• Instrument services with OpenTelemetry for alerting and observability; contribute to SLOs.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
