Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior .NET Engineer in Maryland (USA).

Responsibilities

This role offers an opportunity to work on complex web solutions, extending and enhancing enterprise-level applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will design, develop, and maintain robust .NET applications, dashboards, and backend services while ensuring system performance, security, and compliance. The environment emphasizes remote work flexibility, professional growth, and technical excellence.

As a Senior .NET Engineer, you will:

  • Translate application requirements into the design of complex web solutions and integrate new technologies.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Microsoft .NET, C#, and XML, including email workflows, FTP/SFTP integrations, and dashboards via Power BI.
  • Create responsive website layouts and user interfaces following HTML/CSS standards and 508 Compliance guidelines.
  • Advocate for best practices in coding, testing, error handling, documentation, system performance, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize application performance and user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews, QA coordination, and testing activities to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or three years of equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in requirements analysis, technical design documentation, software development, and testing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining and developing applications using agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
  • Experience with web development technologies, graphic tools, web server administration, and database management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and/or Azure.
  • At least 2 years supporting systems handling financial or sensitive personal information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with technical teams and clients effectively.
