Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable software for logistics solutions. The role emphasizes RESTful APIs, cloud-native development on Azure, and collaborative SDLC teamwork.

You will work onsite in Warren, MI, contributing to API-first architectures, microservices, and automated testing within an Agile environment. A strong foundation in C#, .NET, and front-end technologies is required to deliver robust, secure software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of .NET development experience.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET (6/7/8/9/10).
• Strong experience with SQL databases and ORMs such as Entity Framework Core or Dapper.
• Front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as Blazor, React, Angular, or Vue.
• Hands-on experience building REST APIs and integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud services (Azure preferred) and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and Git.
• Proficiency with testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with ability to adapt to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with emphasis on testability and edge-case handling.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and other integration services (GraphQL, gRPC a plus).
• Contribute to system and service architecture discussions including microservices and event-driven design.
• Implement cloud-native solutions (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP a plus).
• Apply DevOps practices: Git workflows, CI/CD, automated deployments, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in debugging, monitoring, and observability efforts and incident response.
• Break down work into incremental deliveries and manage dependencies.
• Balance design trade-offs considering cost vs. value
• Promote secure coding practices (OAuth2, JWT, IdentityServer, OWASP)
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver reliable commitments
