T. Rowe Price is modernizing its investment operations with long-term technology initiatives. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and deliver cloud-native applications that solve complex business and data challenges.

You will join a cash management technology team delivering real-time data through lean, service-driven web apps. You will build scalable solutions, collaborate across teams, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced Agile environment while using AI tools to improve

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field and 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
Strong experience with .NET and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Node.js.
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience designing and developing practical APIs and software abstractions.
Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and containerized microservices, preferably in AWS or similar environments.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software quality practices.
Proficiency with Linux platforms and scripting languages.
Strong understanding of design patterns and multiple programming paradigms.
Experience in fast-paced Agile environments with collaboration and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively in software engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery across all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support.
Build high-quality, scalable software using modern engineering practices such as Agile development, CI, code review, pairing, unit testing, and refactoring.
Drive engineering best practices, lead code reviews, and manage technical debt across the team’s applications.
Solve complex or ambiguous business and technical problems with sound judgment and a balance of tactical and strategic thinking.
Lead small project teams and mentor junior engineers through coaching and hands-on support.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.
Use AI-powered development tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, troubleshooting, and delivery outcomes.
