GS1 US is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support cloud-based applications. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to build scalable, secure solutions using modern development practices.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in C#/.NET, API design, Azure SQL, and experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot. This role embraces learning, AI, and DevSecOps within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering.
• 3-5 years of software development with C# and .NET.
• Mandatory knowledge of AI tools and AI development/Machine Learning.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, web apps, and OpenAPI specs.
• Experience with Azure SQL and cloud services.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Code, design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based applications and services in C#/.NET.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and integrations.
• Develop databases using Azure SQL and other data platforms.
• Participate in modernization and cloud-native initiatives.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development while ensuring quality and security.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical work.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
