Job summary

V2X is seeking a Senior .NET Developer (Contractor) to lead the modernization of our enterprise web application in the Detroit area. The role focuses on migrating from .NET Framework 4 to .NET 8, optimizing SQL Server databases, and integrating AI-driven capabilities to enhance user experience and insights.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on C# and ASP.NET.
• Proven experience migrating legacy applications from .NET Framework to .NET 8.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, including query optimization, complex joins, triggers, and stored procedure development.
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g., jQuery, React, or Angular).
• Experience implementing or integrating AI/ML functionality (OpenAI API, Azure AI, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Migration of existing .NET Framework 4 web applications to .NET 8.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code for improved maintainability and performance.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and modern integration patterns.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and frontend teams utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Assist in architecting and integrating AI and machine learning capabilities into the web platform.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to internal development staff.
