Job summary

Provider Exchange Network (PEN), a business unit of Open Dealer Exchange, seeks a Senior .NET Software Developer at its Southfield, MI headquarters. You will enhance customer applications, web services, and MS SQL databases while migrating .NET Framework to .NET Core and leveraging AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery.

You will work with the development team to modernize infrastructure within a Microsoft Azure environment, contributing to complex technical solutions and strong code

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional development experience, with at least 4 years using C#/.NET Core and Framework technologies.
• Strong experience with web services and architectures.
• Experience in cloud environments, Microsoft Azure preferred.
• Proficient in Visual Studio for development, debugging, and testing.
• Experience with generative AI coding assistants.
• Hands-on web development experience with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and code management.
• DevOps experience to automate and streamline development and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full SDLC from planning to support.
• Support and administer web service-based applications to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate on web service integrations with new business customers.
• Document and implement development standards across projects.
• Build and execute test plans, report results and issues.
• Adhere to configuration management practices (check-in/check-out, versioning).
• Pair with Development Manager to analyze workloads and priorities.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
