Job summary

Computer Information Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Desktop .NET) to maintain and modernize Windows-based applications for government customers. You will work on C#, VB.NET, WinForms, .NET Framework and modern .NET, with SQL Server, ASP.NET/IIS, and reporting workflows.

You will own changes from diagnosis through release, improve reliability, and collaborate with domain experts and Customer Engineering in an agile environment. Remote role, with annual travel offsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial .NET application ownership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, debug, and extend Windows applications built with C#, VB.NET, WinForms, .NET Framework, and modern .NET.
• Refactor or modernize established code for reliability and maintainability.
• Improve shared functionality through well-scoped libraries and NuGet packages.
• Develop and tune SQL Server schemas, T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-conversion logic.
• Maintain ASP.NET/IIS web portals and interfaces between portal, desktop, and database components.
• Build and troubleshoot operational reports and structured import/export workflows (JSON/XML).
• Improve development and delivery practices with Git/GitHub, automated builds, testing, packaging, and releases.
• Strengthen production diagnostics through structured logging and error tracking.
