Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented .Net/C# Developer for a 100% U.S.-based remote position with the Veterans Affairs department. The role requires extensive .NET/C# experience and a strong background in DevOps, containerization, SQL, AWS, and JIRA. Candidate must be a U.S.

citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust (MBI) clearance. Minimum 8+ years in C# and .NET development, plus a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
• 8+ years of C# development experience
• 8+ years of .NET development experience
• Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• U.S. Citizenship required for this position
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
• This is a 100% U.S.-based remote position with state restrictions for CA, CO, IL, MN, NJ, NY, OR, WA

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains .NET/C# applications
• Performs code reviews and participates in system maintenance and enhancements
• Designs and develops computer systems or programs based on user requirements
• Writes code, tests, and analyzes new application software
• Collaborates with IT and business units in a DevOps environment
• Works more independently with IT functional units and business units
