Job summary

State of Ohio – Department of Children and Youth (DCY) is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise web applications. You will work closely with IT managers and teams in an Agile environment across the full software lifecycle.

The role requires 10+ years in .NET/C#, SQL Server, and modern Microsoft technologies, with Blazor, ASP.NET Core, and Azure expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0+ and C#
• 10+ years of SQL Server design, optimization, and development
• 5+ years of ASP.NET Core experience
• 5+ years of JavaScript and CSS
• 5+ years of Azure services and DevOps
• 5+ years of REST API/SOA development and Agile/Scrum
• 4+ years with .NET 6 and 2+ years with .NET 8
• 4+ years with Blazor and Telerik UI tooling
• Experience in writing unit tests and applying SOLID principles

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise .NET applications.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Develop modern web apps using ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and C#.
• Build and consume REST APIs and SOA services.
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases and queries.
• Develop with Entity Framework, LINQ, and Azure cloud tech.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Write unit tests and ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
