Job summary

Evans Transportation Services LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend development for our Technology Solutions team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable .NET APIs, integrations, and SQL databases powering logistics operations.

You will bridge product, operations, and partners, setting technical standards through architecture guidance, code reviews, and mentoring. Strong expertise in Azure and security will be essential for scalable, observable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years backend development experience, including REST APIs and SQL databases.
• C# and .NET; Git and software development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and services using .NET with focus on performance and reliability.
• Implement messaging, background processing, and workflow orchestration using tools in the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Develop and integrate Azure resources to support scalable, secure backend systems.
• Own work items end-to-end within a Kanban-based product development team, ensuring stories move from concept to production with a high standard of quality.
• Apply security best practices, data protection standards, and organizational policies in all backend development efforts.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and integration partners to deliver production-ready solutions that align with business outcomes.
• Provide architecture guidance, code reviews, mentoring, and design decisions that promote clean architecture and reliable messaging.
