Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior .NET Backend Engineer to design, build, and support scalable backend services on Microsoft Azure. You will lead microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven solutions while ensuring security, reliability, and performance in large-scale cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will own solutions from architecture to production, collaborate across teams, and implement IaC and CI/CD pipelines using modern tools. Three+ days on-site at a U.S. Bank location are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 6–8 years of relevant backend software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and cloud-native apps on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support backend apps using C#, .NET Core, and .NET 8/10+ on Azure.
• Build scalable microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Create cloud-native integrations with Azure Service Bus, Functions, API Management, Storage, and Azure SQL.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and AKS.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Implement IaC with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Improve reliability via observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in collaboration with teams.
