Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET engineer with AWS expertise to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications. You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and security teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.

The role is hybrid, based in Hartford, CT with up to 3 days in office. You will leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate development while maintaining secure coding

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise web applications using React.js, C#, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven leadership experience managing software engineering teams and delivering complex technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of modern web development practices, REST APIs, and secure coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of modern web applications using React.js, C#, .NET Core, AWS services, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL.
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers, providing technical leadership and guidance.
• Establish and enforce software engineering standards, including Git branching, PR processes, code reviews, and secure development practices.
• Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Conduct architecture and code reviews ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity, documentation, and development activities.
• Support CI/CD implementation, release planning, and production troubleshooting.
