Senior .NET / AWS Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior .NET / AWS Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable, cloud‑based applications in the McKinney, Texas area. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with .NET development, AWS cloud services, and application integration, along with a solid understanding of software architecture and cloud‑native solutions.

Experience in the life insurance industry and familiarity with Resonant are preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.

Position Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable applications using .NET technologies.

• Design, implement, and support cloud‑based solutions leveraging AWS services.

• Lead and contribute to application and system integration initiatives across platforms and enterprise applications.

• Develop and support APIs, REST services, and other integration components to enable reliable data exchange between systems.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate technical options, and deliver effective solutions.

• Contribute to application architecture, technical design decisions, and long‑term technology strategy.

• Promote software engineering best practices, including clean code, reusable components, testing, performance optimization, security, and reliability.

• Support deployment automation and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members, as appropriate.

• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience, including strong hands‑on expertise in .NET technologies.

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience designing, developing, or deploying solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Experience with relevant AWS services, such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, and Amazon API Gateway.

• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting application and system integrations using APIs, REST services, messaging, or related integration technologies.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, application integration, and cloud‑native development principles.

• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and delivering scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the life insurance industry, including familiarity with insurance business processes and enterprise applications.

• Familiarity with Resonant.

• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated build and deployment processes.

• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring developers, and guiding implementation decisions.

• Experience contributing to cloud architecture decisions and application modernization initiatives.

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $92,408 - $171,125. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
