Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking an experienced NDT Level III specializing in Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) to support inspection of aerospace components in Compton, CA. You will lead inspection practices, certify NDT personnel, and resolve complex technical challenges to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• NDT Level III certification NAS 410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A required.
• Deep PT/MT knowledge with hands-on leadership experience.
• 5+ years in NDT, preferably aerospace manufacturing or similar regulated setting.
• Experience in AS9100 environments and aerospace programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Level III authority for PT and MT techniques and procedures.
• Develop, review, qualify, and approve NDT procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain NDT Written Practice and provide technical guidance.
• Train and certify Level I/II personnel per NAS 410 and requirements.
• Manage examinations and training records.
• Evaluate inspection methods for aerospace components and lead improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Operations to ensure compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve inspection methods and technologies.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives for quality and efficiency.
