Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking an NDT Specialist (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in Tukwila, WA. The role supports certification and qualification services across the NDE value stream for multiple aircraft programs.

Required: BS/MS in engineering, CS, math, physics or chemistry and 10+ years of engineering experience. Domestic travel may be required; full-time first shift work schedule is specified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, CS, math, physics or chemistry required.
• 10+ years engineering experience noted in posting.
• ABET accreditation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develops NDE procedures for airline maintenance inspections.
• Designs NDE reference standards for procedures.
• Develops engineering specs and related documents.
• Assists in evaluating emerging technologies for business needs.
• Supports qualification of new tools, equipment, materials and processes.
• Performs routine tests and supplier audits to requirements.
• Helps implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Uses project tools to meet cost, tech, and schedule goals.
• Applies EH&S, LEAN and Quality principles in labs and processes.
